Corey Henry is a photographer currently working in the Chicagoland area. She photographs a diverse range of subjects and is currently open to freelance and commission work. She also has prints for sale and photo books in the works!

After finding photography through yearbook at my high school in the suburbs of Chicago, I fell in love immediately. The first event I ever took pictures of was a high school football game. Keep in mind I had no idea how to even hold a camera yet let alone know how to shoot in manual mode…in the dark. I fell in love with the rush of trying to capture fleeting action and the blooming in my chest as I saw a decent image pop up on my display screen. Those images are lost to time (they were probably all grainy and unusable anyway), but I will never forget them. I photograph because it grounds me and gives me purpose in a world that makes less and less sense. I want to contribute to that world to fill it with a little more light through my photos.
